Forced To Fight Alone? Call Help From Within.

Forced To Fight Alone? Call Help From Within.

Within the castle of my heart is a temple altar to a great and powerful force. The force of the mighty Spirit who holds the creative powers of the universe, He was the one who created time itself… the same Spirit that was from the beginning…

Desperate and helpless I decided to make my way into this temple, but from the hallways and the doors, to the Weald and the Ruins of my heart the evil forces of darkness would try to stop me. As I finally entered this temple I cried “Holy Spirit, Arise and awake! Spirit of God within me, be my strength!”

A friend is someone who knows you, the person you call in times of need. But sometimes even friends won’t understand what’s going on, so you felt betrayed, helpless and forced to fend off against your own struggles. The thing is, you are not alone, you have Jesus, whether you feel Him or not, He will always be beside you no matter what, He is not limited by the physical unlike your earthly friend who himself must also fight some of his battles alone. As disciples of Jesus, life is hard – we feel the wrath from the prince of darkness and the his demonic forces at work, because we lived in his world, but we have perks of our own that our King has given us to help us fight it. In fact, He has given us the Spirit of Promise (Ephesians 1:13). You just need to tap into Him and He will be there. Here are some ideas on how to do it:

You heard and believed the message of truth, the Good News that he has saved you. In him you were sealed with the Holy Spirit whom he promised.

Ephesians 1:13

Offering of Silence / Being Still Before the Lord

You may need to cry to the Lord for help, because during the most stressful days of your life, you’re likely to find voices of the enemy very intimidating.

Whether you called it golden meeting, listening time, or time with the Lord. Offering of silence is simply being still before the Lord, you’re not there to talk about your problems, nor are you there asking for answers, you’re just being there for the sake of being there, because Jesus knows what’s in your mind even if you don’t speak it out.

“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
 Psalms 46:10

For thus said the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel, “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.” But you were unwilling,
Isaiah 30:15

Honor Your Responsibilities

Are you doing what you are commanded to do? Giving to the poor, defending the helpless (Psalms 82:3, Isaiah 1:17), delivering your own tithe to people who needs financial assistance, being grateful and happy (Philippians 4:4) and being an active doer (James 1:22)? Are you being loving, gently, kind, humble and forgiving? When you do this, you are fighting the enemy under the territory of the heavenly kingdom, where you are strongest and he’s weakest.

Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.

Psalms 82:3

Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.

Isaiah 1:13

In doing so, you are granting the Holy Spirit access to do as He wills (John 14:15-17)

If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth

John 14:15-17

Journaling and Keeping Track of the Things of the Spirit

Our God is a God of order not chaos (1 Corinthians 14:33), He gave us brains not to be zombie followers who listens to everything said by someone who is standing in the pulpit, we must test every spirit (1 John 4:1) For all we know, the demonic infiltrators may already have compromised our Pastors and make him think in a way that is not sound.

For God is not a God of disorder but of peace–as in all the congregations of the Lord’s people.

1 Corinthians 14:33

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

1 John 4:1

Record what’s happening in your mind, in your surroundings, in your prayers and in life’s event. The Lord might have answered us when we are not paying attention and that would be a waste. And remember, when the Lord sends something, the devil aways comes to steal it (Mark 4:15). Even Daniel was a witness of this attempt to steal his answers (Daniel 10:13).

Some people are like seed along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them.

Mark 4:15

The prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days, but Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I was left there with the kings of Persia,

The Outrageous Secret of a Successful Christian Life

The Outrageous Secret of a Successful Christian Life

The castle has been breached, the enemies are at the gates, at the windows and have taken over some rooms and hallways. I cursed my weak flesh for falling into the deception of the enemy. The damage dealt has already been done, it’s time to take back my territory one step at a time, yet I’ve no strength of my own, powerless to continue the fight. All I have left is Your grace…

Life has been cruel, the world has thrown everything it’s got against you and everything in your life and all you ever cared for are breaking to pieces. You felt miserable, you felt helpless and you felt hopeless. Your faith is literally at breaking points and you are tempted to curse God with your bootless cries “Woe is me! Why is this happening?!” The truth is the world hates you and wants you to be left useless like a scum of the earth. So, don’t ever fall to that temptation of rebelling against the only one who could save you.

In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart, I’ve overcome the world. (John 16:33) what Jesus did at the cross was always never for Himself, but for us.

It is part of the Christian life to suffer, but more interestingly it is also part of the Christian life to overcome. Yet it does really sound outrageous and simple:

Be where Jesus is. Trust and obey, win Him and all is won.

Here are some tips and techniques I’ve learned that you might find helpful to fulfill this goal:

  • Pray an honest prayer and cry to Jesus for help. (Psalms 34:18)
  • Being a disciple of Jesus is a lifestyle, put your life in order and you will become more efficient in dealing with the problems at hand.
  • Finally, just be happy. Rejoice and praise the Lord even if it doesn’t feels like it. Be thankful of the good things as well as the sufferings you have in life. The enemy’s purpose is to steal our joy, if he can’t, then we’ve already won. (Philippians 4:4)

Do you find these tips helpful? Want to say something else? Feel free to leave it in the comment and tell me what you think.
