The castle has been breached, the enemies are at the gates, at the windows and have taken over some rooms and hallways. I cursed my weak flesh for falling into the deception of the enemy. The damage dealt has already been done, it’s time to take back my territory one step at a time, yet I’ve no strength of my own, powerless to continue the fight. All I have left is Your grace…

Life has been cruel, the world has thrown everything it’s got against you and everything in your life and all you ever cared for are breaking to pieces. You felt miserable, you felt helpless and you felt hopeless. Your faith is literally at breaking points and you are tempted to curse God with your bootless cries “Woe is me! Why is this happening?!” The truth is the world hates you and wants you to be left useless like a scum of the earth. So, don’t ever fall to that temptation of rebelling against the only one who could save you.

In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart, I’ve overcome the world. (John 16:33) what Jesus did at the cross was always never for Himself, but for us.

It is part of the Christian life to suffer, but more interestingly it is also part of the Christian life to overcome. Yet it does really sound outrageous and simple:

Be where Jesus is. Trust and obey, win Him and all is won.

Here are some tips and techniques I’ve learned that you might find helpful to fulfill this goal:

  • Pray an honest prayer and cry to Jesus for help. (Psalms 34:18)
  • Being a disciple of Jesus is a lifestyle, put your life in order and you will become more efficient in dealing with the problems at hand.
  • Finally, just be happy. Rejoice and praise the Lord even if it doesn’t feels like it. Be thankful of the good things as well as the sufferings you have in life. The enemy’s purpose is to steal our joy, if he can’t, then we’ve already won. (Philippians 4:4)

Do you find these tips helpful? Want to say something else? Feel free to leave it in the comment and tell me what you think.
